I got this book along with Algebra 1 textbook when I tutored middle school and high school kids. I liked this textbook mainly because it is what my students' county used for their math courses. The one thing that I didn't like about this textbook is that there are only answers to even-numbered practice questions in the back. Where am I suppose to find the answers to even-numbered practice questions? I do not know. Maybe they sell it separately? I had to answer each even-numbered practice questions to confirm my students' answers. Although it wasn't hard to do so, it was such a hassle for me.
These books are used by my school district, and I use them as a reference for teaching. What I like about them is they give clear examples and are fairly straightforward and user-friendly, unlike some math texts that are just a jumble of words to read. These have all the important concepts in bold, and in nice neat-looking little green-bordered boxes. And, of course, answers to odd problems in the back. If you are a teacher looking for a reference text or a parent who is home-schooling, I highly recommend this textbook series.~ Mistyteacher & tutor for over 12 years
A classic...complete coverage of topics. Any high school student needs this book. It does not give all the answers, just some, in the back of the book, however the worked out examples in the chapters are excellent.
This book gives you the expert, self-directed instruction you need. Providing easy-to-understand concepts and thoroughly explained examples and real-world applications.
Great for my homeschool teaching. Could use some more examples but very well orgainzed as all the McDougal/Larsen books I own.

Great price for a used book. I bought two one for school and one for home. Works well as books are too heavy these days and I also don't get the "I forgot my book at home" excuse.
