I'm satisfied with this product. Has large zipped pocket on outside 10.5" x 6". I don't really like the velcro that holds the outer fold down - would prefer a button snap or something, but it is still functional. Inside has a place to hold a notepad 6.25" wide. Also has a mesh pocket that zips shut 6.25" wide, 5" deep. Has another pocket that is about 5"x5" that has a velcro flap which can hold something up to 1" thick. Then, 2 pen holder pockets, 4 small pockets that look like they could hold credit cards, business cards, or photos 3 5/8" wide. Then, on the inner-most portion is where the Bible goes. This portion zips shut. Looks like two more pen holders on each side of where the Bible would be. Has two flap things that I am assuming are for placing the front and back outer cover of the Bible into, or maybe for stuffing papers in. My Bible just fits perfectly, which measures about 9.5" x 6 5/8" x 1 5/8". If your Bible is bigger than these dimensions, it probably won't fit.

The review and dimensions that "the Truth "Bryan" " gave, were very accurate and led me to buy this product. It is perfect for my NIV Bible. I am thinking of uploading some pictures to have a better idea of this product. It is really a good organizer. I just whish there were more colors.

The size of this bible cover is 12.1 x 9.2 x 2.1 inches so it is one of the larger ones, but still measure your bible before you buy. It is disappointing to find out it is too small for your bible, AFTER you buy it. Make sure the tote is a good bit larger than the size of your bible so it fits INSIDE. I agree that it would be useful for any Bible cover companies that sell here to just list the maximum size of bible the tote is intended for. It has nice built in flaps to hold the bible cover in place, but again it needs to fit first. To make this easy If your bible is taller than 9 ½ inches, wider than 6 ½ inches closed, and thicker than 2.5 inches it may not fit. By the way, for this style and material, this is the largest size I found here at Amazon.com.Now the photo descriptions on the bible cover are not accurate as to what is inside, the layout is very different. So here is my description.Good quality black nylon case, has handle, with a Velcro flap. Nice outer tab with the Christian fish logo. 1 exterior 10" x 6" flat zippered pocket for papers. To gain access to the rest you have to open a velcro flap. Upon opening, it layes flat with two sides facing you. On one side there is a space for a notepad (not included) maximum 6" wide x 9" long. Behind the notepad if you put one in, is a mech zippered pocket, 6" wide x 4.5" tall. There is also an opening the length of the flap behind where the notepad would go, great for stuffing brochures or newsletters. It is 6" x 9".On the opposing side there are 4 slots or 4 card holders and one is clear for an ID or business card. Next to that are 2 more pen holders. Next to that is a 5" x 5" pocket with a velcro flap. Behind this area is a zippered area for your Bible. It has flaps to hold the cover of your bible in place if you choose to use them. I don't, I like to take my Bible out. In this interior there are 2 more pen holders, one on each side of the Bible. When the cover is open flat on a table with your bible open, it does not take very much more space than the Bible itself. It is very functional when open, and easy to read your Bible.Personally I do not like the use of Velcro in the bag, it is noisy. But maybe they will fix this in the next version; as it is this one is an update to their previous model. I recommend this Bible tote, but also check the "Purpose Driven Life Bible Cover". And to fully prepare your Bible cover for dutym may I recommend the Majestic brand Bible accessory kit too, with the markers, tabs and magnifying bookmark. It's big. And sturdy. And big. It holds everything my husband needs when he carries his Bible. Pen? Check! Notepad? Check! Bulletins from the last ten Sundays? No, wait. That's MY Bible.My husband has a large study Bible, and this organizer holds it securely. It is well-designed and does not come open when you least expect it. The handle has held up well, also. He has carried it for about a year now and is very pleased with it. When it is packed with everything he carries, it doesn't lie completely flat. It's a little rounded in the middle. Maybe he should carry less stuff... But he doesn't have to because this organizer can accommodate it.

This is really nice and sturdy. I was disappointed that it was so big for my Children's ESV. Oh well, son doesn't care. I like all the pockets and zippers. There's a spot to put a small notebook inside the flap (plus 2 smaller pockets on top of that, one zipped), then a big zippered compartment on the outside of the flap. Inside (on top of the Bible) is a velcro pocket, 2 pen pockets and a few pockets for scripture memory cards (?). The Bible can be zipped up in it so it doesn't flop around even though it's too small for the cover! There's one loop for a pen next to the Bible. Big velcro tab on the flap holds it closed. Great cover for the price!!

Amazing case. I bought it for my husband for Christmas and I now wish I had bought one for myself as well. Lots of space for a notebook, highlighters, pens, your bible, a thin book, and more!

I bought the item listed here and am sorely disappointed. To me value means that you get something nice at a price below suggested retail prices. Not the case with this item. "Value" means it is cheap, corners were cut. It feels as though I could rip the fabric of the inner compartments by hand. For just 3 or 4 dollars more you can get a really nice on that I also purchased on Amazon. It is listed as a Large Black Polyester 3 fold Bible Cover. I purchased both with the intention of giving one as a gift and keeping the other for myself. I am so glad that I did not purchase 2 of these because I would have been highly embarrassed to have given this as a gift to someone. The only reason I purchased 2 different covers was so that I wouldn't get mine mixed up with the person whom the gift was for because we are often in close proximity and it would be easy to often get ours mixed up. I will definitely be upgrading to something of a nicer quality that will still allow me to distinguish our covers from one another. Check out the link to the other Bible Cover. I purchased this to accompany the textbook. I like to study with practice questions and figured this would be a lot of multiple choice questions for that purpose. It's not. Each chapter review begins with a fill in the blank or matching section, followed by ~4 multiple choice questions, and then a critical thinking section where you basically write short answers. If the whole thing, or even 50%, of the questions were multiple choice, it would have been a 5 star product for me. So really- it just depends on how you study. I will say that the textbook for this is the most difficult one I have had to read in nursing school. It is very wordy and does not flow well in my opinion. This book at least gives me a guideline of some of the vocabulary with the fill in the blank and matching questions at the beginning of each section.My advice- find someone who has it on their google drive and see if they will share with you :)If you found this review helpful, please let amazon know by clinking "Yes". Out of all of my nursing textbooks, this is my least favorite. I was looking forward to it since I'm going for labor and delivery or mother baby but it is just awful! It gives incorrect/inconsistent and/or outdated information about childhood illnesses, labor, pregnancy, conception, miscarriage, etc. I have several nursing instructors who hate teaching from it as well.I do like that the pages aren't glossy; makes it way easier to read in the fluorescent lighting of my classroom.

the answer page does not always have the answer. it gives you a page to go look it up yourself..id like the answer key to a workbook to have the actual answer please.. kinda wasteful book.

Old school worksheets which is nice for Xeroxing and taking test more than once. Lots of fill in the blank so you have to know the answer not just guess at one of the choices. Helps you focus on what the chapter is trying to teach.

This book had some excellent questions to reinforce what we were going over in pediatrics class. It is an optional book in our RN program but, a must have in my opinion.

I really liked this book. Jay LaCroix did an excellent job of explaining Ubuntu Server to me. The book is easy to read and the ideas flow nicely. If a friend of mine wanted to learn Ubuntu server, I give him this book. I highly recommend it if you are new to Ubuntu server and want to learn the ins and outs. I use a VM on Atlantic.net and his book lead me through the complete configuration of the server. Rodney Wirtz

Aside from the fact that there is clear advertising for the company she works for, Dr. Friedman fails to adequately equip you for the medical school interview. The tips are sometimes not only uninformative, such as dressing nice and being polite, but they often become detrimental and unrealistic. There are trite phrases or ideas that should never be used in a medical school interview.My favorite gem was that you shouldn't ask anything of the interviewer when they ask if you have any questions because you've already done extensive reading on the school and know everything there is to know. I think that makes you seem either arrogant, crazy or actually disinterested. There is often plenty of information not to be found on the school website that you should ask. I think this piece of advise even contrasted with a different piece she gave at a later point in the book. Dr. Friedman may have served on numerous committees to interview medical school applicants but I'm not sure she can accurately articulate what it was that made quality candidates.

This book provides easy to understand and highly useful advice on how to maximize your interviewing skills for any interview format. There are sample questions and answers for traditional interviews along with a simple and sensible approach for handling MMI scenarios. It's a must read for medical school applicants!

This is a little larger than a pamphlet and didn't gave anything I couldn't find in a web article. Much better books out there in my opinion.

Good book, easy and short read, and found it pretty helpful when applying. On a scale of 1-10 w/10 being the most helpful, I'd rank it an 8. It definitely helped me better formulate and polish some of my answers

If you are looking for a student friendly guide to interviewing for medical school - this is it! Every detail is accounted - this is insider knowledge of the process! Extremely helpful, especially for those who do not have a pre-medical specific advisor or office at their school.

For the most part this book is useless. It's is very short, it takes about 20-30 minutes to read and most of the info can be readily found on-line or by speaking to experienced people. In addition, many more schools are moving to MMI and the book does not provide any detailed info on this style of interview.

While not always agreeing with the Bush politics I've always admired and respected this family. This is a heart warming book that made me laugh and cry and gives this senior citizen hope for then future. I am hopeful that others will read this with an open mind and heart. There is much to learn here particularly with the country so divided about unconditional love and acceptance despite our differences.

This book is SO funny and so hopeful and so full of love! What a fun, wild and wonderful read. They are so honest and real. They share these incredible stories about their family and their relationships. I was really craving a book that would make me feel good and this book is that!! I love these girls and I can't believe what beautiful writers they are.

I have never written an amazon review before but felt compelled to share that this is such a joyful and enjoyable read! This is not a book about politics, it is a book about sisters and special bonds.

This is such a hopeful yet funny book. I think the stories are so heartfelt too. Jenna is such an authentic person....nothing phony about her. I love how they tell such great stories about their parents & grandparents....could not put this book down....not one boring page!

It was interesting geting to learn about a very privileged life that few can experience. Being in the spotlight is a very difficult life and they had extraordinary parents and grandparents that kept them grounded. The support and caring of their extended family is an unusual blessing. The content seemed controlled with no real depth, but who would want to air problems to the public.These two young women survived difficulties and took advantage of their opportunities, to become caring, contributing members of society.Any woman reader without a sister will envy what Jenna and Barbara have in their relationship. I applaud their candor in what they did write.This is a very “light read” when there is an occasion for that type book.

I bought this as a kindle book on a discount site. Did not vote for Bush. Oddly , started reading it as an escape from current political situation. Enjoyable read. First of all, fun to hear abt what it can be like to be a fraternal twin with all the comparisons that go on. But, also, the fun supportive parts. Secondly, interesting to read abt what is what like to be a college student with a secret service detail. And what 9/11 was like for dau of President. Lastly, liked hearing more abt Geo W. Esp touched by the descriptions of his paintings of wounded warriors and the angst he felt abt the war. I was never sure if he truly understood all the loss that would be involved when he made the decision to go to war. Appears he did later for sure. So, gave me a more complex picture of Bush 2.

This is a great book. I actually read this book in 2 days. The girls are so honest and funny! I don't know how you could not respect these girls and the Bush family. Such a heartwarming book...Thank you Jenna & Barbara~!

The Five Stars are because I read this on a cold Saturday afternoon when it was sleeting out and this book put some warmth back into my soul. It tells of the love and bond between the Bush twins and their family. It is also about growing up in the public eye, which they did with dignity. I read their mothers book, and these Bush women are pretty good writers for gals not in the business. Obviously the sisters led interesting lives of privilege, but they seem to have retained humor, kindness and morality. Very enjoyable.

Very good stories.

This is a picture book with very short stories of migrant workers. I liked it but didn't feel I learned anything that I would get from a more comprehensive book.

Voices From The Fields is about nine different children all of which are Mexican/Spanish. Each tells a different story about their life. All of these children have one thing in common, they work in the fields or they have a close relative that works in a field. Their stories range from being involved with gangs to the difficulty of moving up in society. As different as these nine children may be, they all care very much for their families and believe nothing is more important. Throughout the book there are photographs of the children and their families. Photographs aid the text in describing conditions and emotions of the people being discussed. Through this mix of text and photographs emotions can be amplified. Children most importantly can aid from photographs being provided since they may not understand certain things they read; yet photographs may open the doors for them. The can better see different feelings such as joy or anger as well as people of different cultures in their own environment. It can also become apparent to children who read the book just how important family is to each of the nine children. They are all care for each other very deeply and this is obvious through the photographs. Julia Hirsch says "A far more complex and elusive relationship between text and image occurs in those books which use snapshots, or other similarly dramatic image: pictures which contain some emotional charge, such as a gesture caught in midstride, an object viewed from an unusual angle, an enigmatic facial expression, a blurred background, or deep shadows and diffuse lighting."(Hirsch, 142) Manuel Araiza talks about his home in the book and such details such as the home being comprised of one room with a kitchen. Next to the text where he is discussing these conditions is a picture of the house. Immediately we feel more sympathetic towards Manuel since we are able to see with our own eyes what he is describing to us. The photographs in this book allow children readers to "experience" a minority culture that most children otherwise would never be exposed to. Hirsch later goes on to say, "Photography in recent years has also given "visibility" to yet other aspects of the human condition which have formerly been kept from most children."(Hirsch 150) One example of these "human conditions" is presented in the book for children to learn about. This condition is the life of migrant farm workers and their families. The photographs in this book depicting ethnic minorities, which also happen to be largely immigrants, provide for an excellent learning experience for children. Books focusing on different cultures and ways of life especially ones with such rich and detailed photography are good for children. These books help to educate on material that is beyond the classroom. Emotions, feelings, and different situations are better understood. It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words, so by supplementing photographs with the text of the book children take with them a great deal more than would have been without photographs.

I have recommended this book to teachers, counselors, therapists, social workers, politicians and law enforcement officials. It takes you inside migrant families lives and lets you share with them their success, sacrifice, and nostalgia. Beth Atkins captures more than images in her photographs. I used this book as an extension book for a thematic unit I created over Mexican Migrant Farmers. It is great to bring home the idea that this is not history but is still going on in present day!

Ms. Atkin did a wonderful job gathering the stories and poems of these children, and putting them together in such a way that not only moved you, but also explained the desperation that went on in their lives. Some of the children wanted nothing more than to grown up and be just like their parents and pick strawberries and lettuce. You understood how much they admired their parents. Other children embraced educational opportunities to move out of the lives their parents had. It was a beautifully put together book.

Purchased this book for a friend who doesn't have a computer. Description said very good ... Actually it was better than that. Beautiful photos of old radios, which is what my friend wanted.

The two Philip Collins radio picture-books, "Radios Redux" and "Radios: The Golden Age", are both ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKINGLY STUNNING. I have never seen radios look so good, and I am a collector. You will want to rip every one of the pages out and frame them.These are mainly of the tabletop marbelized colored-plastic radios of the 1930's and 40's - the most good-looking of all the table radios, Ever. Catalin, bakelite, plaskon, and whatever other brand names they had for the plastics of the day - all seem to be represented.Both of these books are equally, truly, EYE CANDY.

Excellent photos but not much else.

This book is very well done, with many exquisite color photographs (presented in a sort of portrait-style) of dozens and dozens of radios, BUT BE ADVISED: its focus is bakelite and plastic radios - those bright, multi-colored, smallish ones, often with the kitschy designs.I was expecting much more coverage of the beautiful old wood cabinets, cathedrals, and consoles, with their rich veneers, marquetry, and grill cloth - there's nary a one of those in this book. So if your interests are wood radios, I would not recommend this book at all. But if you like the bakelite and plastic variety, then I would highly recommend this book.

It was published approximately 11 years after the end of WWII, and bears a certain attitude unique to it being so relatively recent. The author was t-h-e-r-e and expertly describes his personal view of a window into time.While there are certain passages which are definitely aimed at a reader with next to zero knowledge of submarines, they are regularly overshadowed by many fascinating pieces on topics/tactics which I had never come across before. Again, the writer’s proximity to events – both personally and temporal – gives this book a unique viewpoint. I found Mr. Gallery’s thoughts regarding aspects of the ‘bad torpedo’ problem and of the Nuremberg Trials particularly absorbing.There is a lot of action in this work, I assure you it’s far from a dry recitation on how the two Battles of the Atlantic were fought.I heartily recommend this book.

This is a really excellent book about the U-boat and anti-U-boat war in the Atlantic in WWII. Although it's focus is on how the U-505 was captured by the antisubmarine Task Group under Adm. Gallery's command and his own direct decisions which culminated in the capture, the book encompasses a lot more. It discussed the broad context and history of the submarine war in the Atlantic from both the U.S. and german points of view; discusses submarine design, weapons and tactics; antisubmarine weapons and tactics; the history, personnel and war cruises of the U-505 leading up to its capture;and the history and actions of the Task Group. Throughout the book, the people are well discussed. Ultimately, the activities of the capture are described in great detail from the U.S. Navy's and the U-boat's perspectives. The writing is clear. Overall, the book is very well researched, organized, written and exciting to read.

Rear Admiral Gallery (one of the three brothers who were discharged from the US Navy at this rank!) wrote the story of the boarding of the Nazi sub U505 during WWII. At the time of the events described by the author he was commanding a task force of an air carrier and destroyers charged with hunting German subs. It was his idea to form and train a boarding party that would be able to capture an intact Nazi sub. The main theme of the book is the history of U505, from the laying of its keel, through its lone wolf career. and up to its capture by Gallery's men, and finally its final task, serving as an exhibit in Chicago science museum. Parenthetically we get a fair description of the German submarine effort to destroy allied shipping on the Atlantic, on service and morals, on politics, war, and God. Despite being an author of ten books (five of them fiction), Gallery is no Shakespeare. His prose is full of cliches, mixed metaphors (e.g. "...the Old Man Death knocking like a lusty young giant..."), and countless repetitions. The style is in the best (or worst) of The Brady Bunch tradition and reflects the authors rather simplistic philosophy of life. Nevertheless, despite its shortcomings, it is a vivid though a mite tedious yarn of the life and (mostly) death struggle during the Battle of the Atlantic

An excellent tale recounting the actual events that led to the capture of U-505 and its final resting place in Chicago. Definitely on my to-do list. This is nothing like the move, U-571 with Matthew McConaughey, this is good. The pace is well done and the recounting of actions in the North Atlantic are superb. I would also point out, the author, Daniel V. Gallery is a man of strong, conviction and faith. He addresses the moral points of wart I’ve never read in such detail. He goes into detail when Rader and Doenitz are tried for war crimes at Nuremburg. He had no problem with the Nazis being tried, but those in the Kriegsmarine is another story. They were tried for the same actions Gallery, Nimitz and King performed-unrestricted submarine warfare. He found it a bit hypocritical to say the least. I enjoyed his analysis of the current geopolitical situation and how we viewed our enemy at the time-The USSR. Remember, this book was published in 1956. I’ve read other works that held the same sentiments and fears regarding the experimentation with nuclear subs. They would be much deadlier than the S and U-boats of World War Two. They knew they would be lethal but they could not imagine the capabilities these new weapons would carry. I didn’t mean to get off point, but that’s how moving I found the story. Gallery holds nothing back describing how Germany almost completed strangling England to death and cutting off the shipping lanes to Russia. In 1942, the situation looked bleak indeed. But as in all wars, we started to win the technological war while the Germans fell behind. And it happened literally in the nick of time! Another six months and the U-Boats would have dominated the seas, but new radar and sonar devices allowed us to hunt down the killers of the depths. Who will like this? Any World War Two buff wanting to know more about the Battle of the Atlantic.Five Stars

This story is one of the best world wwII books I have read. Having seen and been through the U505 in Chicago years ago I wished this book had reached me before I did so. It beats any military saga I've read thus far.

I love the illustration, color, and message in this quaint little book. The side-by side translation is great, but the Armenian was a little small and I had to zoom in to read it, which is why this gets 4 stars instead of 5. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in instilling familiarity of the Armenian language in their children, or even to adults trying to familiarize themselves with the written language. If you can speak and understand Armenian but cannot read or write in it fluently, this book is a nice stepping stone.

I wish all textbooks came with activity books. I noticed that maybe five links to the textbook were off by a few pages, but doing the exercises makes reading the textbook a far more active process. Super helpful for learning anatomy.

I took a course that required the textbook version of this book. I heard rumors that the course was extremely hard, but that this book is a great help. I'm very glad I purchased this book. It gives great summaries and pictures of anatomy that is important to know. The textbook version of this book is very black & white/hard to read, so having this helped me tremendously! Make sure to utilize this resource and it will help your grade tremendously.

This is a must have for speech pathology and the sph 480 course and it help with the test you will have to take in the course.

I purchased this guide to use as an accompanying workbook for my Neuro/Anatomy classes. I love having the extra visuals and information to test myself. I have noticed that my professor hasn't or doesn't alway cover everything in the workbook, I still love the fact that I can use it. After using it for a semester, I have noticed that it will be an excellent addition to a few other classes in my program.

Good book

This study guide/workbook was greatly beneficial as an aid to studying Anatomy. The questions were great, the diagrams were very nice (and different from the actual textbook), and overall I am very very pleased I bought this! It definitely solidified what I was reading in the textbook.
