I really liked this book. Jay LaCroix did an excellent job of explaining Ubuntu Server to me. The book is easy to read and the ideas flow nicely. If a friend of mine wanted to learn Ubuntu server, I give him this book. I highly recommend it if you are new to Ubuntu server and want to learn the ins and outs. I use a VM on Atlantic.net and his book lead me through the complete configuration of the server. Rodney Wirtz

I bought this as a requested gift. The receiver was pleased with it.
I'm not a Linux newbie, but I'm a refugee from Red Hat Linux, so I have a lot to learn about Ubuntu Server 18.04. I love its command line environment, and this book provides all that is required to master it.
This book has a great format, easy to follow, very informative, Definitely the best book I've ever bought. This book after reading through it and accomplishing the impossible, it is a reference I find myself using often. I've also realized that what isn't covered in this book, Jay Lacroix teaches basics with a strong enough foundation, I've been able to figure out anything I run into. If you want to run Ubuntu desktop or server like a "Pro" or securely access your computer(s) or cloud from anywhere on the planet, or setup technologies you've always wanted to implement but not sure how?
